Stephen’s Unique Story
Meet Stephen Edward, ConnectEd’s 9th and 10th-grade Chemistry teacher. Stephen is originally from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, Stephen comes from a family of teachers and professors in both schools and colleges. Teaching is in his DNA!
Stephen’s Experiences
Stephen did his post-graduate courses in Energy and Environment Engineering at Galgotias University in Delhi. His thorough background in Science makes him a well-equipped Chemistry teacher for our team. Stephen has specific experience in Science, but he’s also been teaching tuitions since his college years. His early years of teaching genuinely encouraged him to continue in education and brought him to ConnectEd today.
Stephen heard about ConnectEd through a friend. Once he fully understood the company’s ethics and values, he realized he perfectly aligns with the same. He’s passionate about sharing his knowledge with others, and he’s committed to contributing to the growth of others. His Work at ConnectEd
Our founder and CEO, Dennis Mathew, states our learning and teaching methods set ConnectEd apart from our competitors. At ConnectEd, we focus on meeting the individual needs of our students. Stephen’s heart and vision make sure each of his students is progressing.
One particular time, Stephen helped a student overcome any academic obstacle. This student struggled to remember a series of elements known as the “Reactivity Series.” Stephen is aware not every concept comes naturally to every student. As a result, he spent time trying to find unique ways the student could interact with the material to memorize and remember the series in a new way. With Stephen’s guided help, this student recognized the concept. As a result, this student also performed very well on the exam.
His Collaborative Space at ConnectEd

Still, specifically, he’s grateful for the opportunity to teach many students at one time. An online collaborative space lets students and teachers interact online and offline, sharing ideas, notes, and resources conveniently (learn more about ConnectEd’s collaborative space)! This communal space enables Stephen to use the “flipped classroom” approach to teaching. Therefore classroom time is more focused. Stephen can share a video outside of class on a particular science concept. Then students can discuss online and offline. This approach helps students and teachers interact with concepts differently, reaching all learning styles.
Stephen is also grateful for how ConnectEd’s leadership and advisory teams aid and equip our teachers. They provide training and seminars and online-assessment tools that help prepare the team for teaching today in the digital age. At Connected, we’re not only committed to the growth of our students but the growth of our team.
Stephen Outside the Classroom
You’ll find Stephen playing and composing songs and spending time with close friends. Stephen loves his work, and making the world a better place motivates Stephen’s work. He sees teaching as an avenue to better the world we live in.
